In Ayurvedic medicine, the vata dosha are the most slender build and creative of all the doshas. When out of balance, their creative minds and bodies which are always on the go can exhaust themselves with anxiety and overwhelm. In this video I am going to share with you the 10 mistakes that vata dosha should avoid. This video will include lifestyle tips, advice for diet for vata dosha including what foods vata should avoid and what foods vata should eat. I will also talk about the best yoga for vata dosha including poses and types of yoga that vata dosha should absolutely not skip.

I am super vata, and have definitely experienced vata imbalances over the years. I also used to eat lots of cold cereal and milk and drink cold icy beverages. If only I had known back then.

I just started integrating a hot plantmilk drink with ashwagandha and cinnamon into my daily routine :)
One thing I immediately noticed is that my hands, feet and head stay way warmer even when I am just sitting around!

I was told recently by an Ayurvedic Dr that I'm a Vata Dosha person. I can totally map myself to the points you were saying Melissa. I scored 8 out of 10. I was very restless and all my cousins used to give me all kinds of suggestions and I never knew why I was so super high irrespective of the situation and had no control on me sometimes. Also my breathing was too loud and heavy when I get anxious. Very minute things make me anxious like unexpected person call me over my phone, relatives showing up at my house gathering, taking just 1 floor of stairs, carrying less than 5 lbs of weight, trying to meet new people, talking to someone new in the park, my breathing gets too heavy that I wheeze just sitting in my chair sometimes that I have to take a call from some of my relatives whose main purpose is to show sarcasm and hurt me. I should get grounded and not be lost in the space. Thanks for your tips. I'm going to do everything possible. Also, as you said, I used to go out for walks alone esp when its windy thinking the fresh breeze would cut me out of the tension I'm holding. But when I'm done and I come back home, I usually am more restless and I occasionally used to be still the same. I cannot multitask. People cannot ask me to do anything when I decide on certain task of my own. I can hear my heart pound so loud that I can hear my heart beats so crystal clear. I give up my tasks and end up doing theirs but throughout that I take up the guilt and blame myself. I was broken until this person found out my Dosha problem and said, sleep early and practice Vata Dosha remedies to keep you calm and stable.

My vata dosha is still and grounded ❤️ this all makes perfect sense to me. I naturally gravitate to soups and hot meals in colder months as well as hot /Warm teas. Yin and restorative yoga are my favorite styles for grounding.

I love this♥️ I realized that having warm oatmeal in the morning made with oats, honey and almond milk is amazing for soothing my digestive system and keeps me feeling balanced for the whole day!

I recently discovered that I'm predominantly vata.. Everything you say is 100% me... I'm always thirsty have a hot dry mouth and the wind definitely makes me anxious especially if I'm out on my bike... Thank you Melissa 😊 💖 💐
