Smith machine squats allow you to work more on your glutes. It permits you to use weights without a spotter while, workouts. The forward change of footings in the rack can cause injury over time. The improper position may lead to muscle imbalances. The movement in the smith machine allows you to access and engage the glutes and hamstrings.

Squats are a functional movement that improves your lower body strength and mobility. The squat machine allows the same amount of weight that an ordinary person can lift with a barbell. There is no risk of dropping the equipment.

How to do it?

Adjust the barbell on the smith machine so that it's at shoulder height.
Start with the barbell and add weight as the weight becomes simple with the movement.
Step in front of the smith machine, and rest the bar on your neck muscles.
Lift the bar upward and brace your abs as you begin to lower into a squat position.
With your core still braced, make sure you squeeze your glutes at the top of your squat.
Come back to the starting position and complete three sets of 15 reps.
