The cooking tip I use to make kitchen cleanup more efficient

In order to become a better cook, you have to consider all aspects of your cooking: Cooking cleanup is one of them. When you need to cut a bunch of vegetables or fruits we often take trips back and forth to the trash or compost, or we get overwhelmed with scraps.

In today's three minute thursday cooking tip, I'll show you the simplest way to streamline your cooking cleanup.

I use an old Cambro for my compost and empty it every night in my compost bin. I noticed your copy of Ruhlman's Twenty on the stand in the background. His "Reach of a Chef" and "Soul of a Chef" truly changed my life to being more mindful not just in the kitchen but to be intentional in everything I do. Those two books encapsulate the ethos that people like Danny Meyer and Thomas Keller (among others) bring to the hospitality industry.

A little late to the game here but I use old plastic Walmart-type bags for my scraps. Just tie them closed and into the trash can they go.
