Methylfolate (folate) is also required with methylcobalamin (B12), both are the best forms for bioavailability and absorption. Vitamins and minerals are absorbed in the small small intestine. If you have leaky gut or digestive issues that cause poor absorption, most supplements don't get to the small intestine and get absorbed properly. Always look for the bioavailable form of supplements for best possible absorption.

RDI is the minimum intake not to get sick from deficiency. ODI ist the optimum daily intake.

Had tingling in my arms and legs. I eat a lot of animal products. A few years ago I was put on PPIs for a year and it murdered my gut. Started taking b12 sublingually and the tingling has died down. PPIs are the worst. Now taking betaine hydrochloride to encourage better protein digestion and probiotics to encourage a healthier gut biome.

Probiotics will give you the vitamin B complex. if you take B12 make sure you eat foods with vitamin B so as not to create an imbalance of the complex

RDA is 2.4mcg but thats minimum. It is not optimal. The ODA or optimal daily allowance or intake is a better standard and is 10000mcg!! That is what's optimal

Every time I look at a b12 supplement, it’s something in the order of 20, 000%, or some other ridiculously high percentage of the RDA.

I really do not understand why should I take more than about 3mcg a day ?! From food I would take less ?! It does not mean I am against, It means I do not understand.

I no longer supplement with B12. I was breaking out like crazy. I rely solely on my diet now. I do eat meat, but no pork or red meat. I’m good.
