Depression doesn't discriminate. Doesn't matter if you are rich or poor. In my experience, it goes back to feeling a lack of self-worth or value, and imposter syndrome. The past few years, which I refer to as "3 Deaths & a Pandemic" have been very challenging. Lost my Dad, my closest mentor Lonnie, and our beloved little dog Super Teddy. Still working to rebuild my business, after Covid wiped out my live events and my reaction to it cost me a lot of momentum and confidence. Three years ago, a corner turned for me when I quit drinking alcohol and began working out at least 5 days per week. Big help. These days, I am lifted up by 'finding & creating the good', every day. Not always easy...but worth it. Today's message resonated from the opening lines. Thank you Ed. I appreciate you. Your messages are part of every week for me.

We're all feeling this way Ed, thank you making this video. It doesn't matter what your daily process is or how badass your workout and nutrition routine is. Its hard to feel optimistic during such challenging times. WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER.

When I was sixteen I attempted to end it and yes after taking a hand full of you know what immediately I regretted it. I thought about my parents, my siblings, what will my pastor say, why didn’t I just eat something and go to sleep. There was so much running through my head and at that moment I started praying God answered prayers today 34 years later I’m here thankful that God answers prayers.

I would tell my younger self not to take myself so seriously. Nothing is worth stopping your life. There is only one you. You were put here because there is something that only you can do and you are loved ❤

Thank you for this message today. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your current struggles. We are all going through something. The world around us is in such disarray right now. I'm trying to limit what I read and watch. It's not good for my mental health. It's going to be a long few months. It's been a long past four years. All I can do is pray and take the focus off of me and focus on how I can be the good in the world around me. Take care of yourself.

You, Sr, have been instrumental in my transformation and growth. I have struggled with mental health for many years, that's why I watch every single one of your podcasts. Everything you teach touches my heart and mind in a level I'm immensely grateful for. My health has been suffering too, and I'm taking care of it. Thank you for changing my life and so many other's. I pray for you, your family, and your health often. I love you dear Ed ♥️

Always words of wisdom. I see it clearly Ed thank you. When I think about when I felt a little depressed, when I built up the strength to reach out to another person and help them in their struggle, I realize I was not helping them, but also helping and beginning to heal myself.
Thank you Ed

Yup, if your in pain and struggling and your comparing yourself to someone who seems to handle similar difficult situations with relative ease dont look at it as if they have something you don't instead understand that that person has probably worked through their fair share of what your experiencing. Just a reminder, I know it's all been said before.

An important message that's always relevant to talk about. Thanks Ed for being vulnerable and sharing your own personal experiences, and even ways you're continuously seeking to improve your connection with self and others—how I wish everyone was on an intentional path of personal evolution. 🕊

Ed, we should add that "cutting or reducing exposure to toxic people might help." ... Such a strategy helped me tremendously.

About a year or two after my Mom died in 2004, my Dad was an alcoholic, he's not anymore but then I was in very dark place in my head, I've tried to hurt, kill myself, I've tried to cut my veins on my wrist, I've had enough, I thought I can't take anymore and that life doesn't have sense and when I was closing knife to my wrist I've heard my Mom's voice, her spirit or something: DON'T YOU EVEN DARE TO DO THIS!! But no one was behind me, and after hearing my Mom's voice I spooked, I got scared and knife landed on the floor, and I started to cry and thought what am I doing? What the heck is going on? It's like I woke up from the trance, and I felt ashamed of myself, I thought that I shouldn't be do selfless, and my Mom sacrificed too much for me, for me to have a good life and fought for me to live and I couldn't and shouldn't mess this up. And I promised myself to be a light for myself and others who would need a light and help.

It's so hard to get up and start your day. But it's also amazing how it all can be hidden from everyone. Worse part, though we all have issues, is that even if things are OK, we still have these thoughts. It is just a sadness that is so hard to control. Thank you for what you do.
