Which is best? Mazda CX-5 vs Volkswagen Tiguan 2017

This time there won’t be any semi-final fight between Toyota RAV4, Honda CRV and so on, so on and so on. My invincible belief is that in this vehicle grade against such a monster named as Volkswagen Tiguan only refined Mazda CX5 can compete. Our new comparison test-drive will show if am I right or wrong.

Bought the Tiguan R-Line in Black on white (they call in dove grey) leather two weeks ago. Test drove the Mazda but the Tiguan felt more planted, and in Canada the 4motion AWD system in the Tiguan is the best in class. The Pano roof is alos a fantastic touch. Couldn't be happier.

Never believe what you read... Nice one to the reviewer! This just shows that the German company is lying again with 0-60mph speed. It was eating nothing but Mazda's dust which was way ahead of it. What a shame... excellent review, very useful to people trying to buy a compact SUV and making the right decision.

Nice review. I was choosing between these two cars. I chose CX-5 and I love it. It is a great price and has everything I need and want in a compact suv. Perfect car for me. Tiguan is also beautiful

Actually, it was the most comprehensive review of comparing cars I have ever seen.
I enjoyed the detailed explanations, frank comments and also lovely accent. Just I would like you to pronounce the word TIGUAN like “TEE-GWAN” This is how it pronounced in Germany and it means Tiger.
Tiguan’s build quality, Turbo Charged Engine, Roomy interior and cargo, more comfortable seats design, panoramic sunroof, prestige and classy look are unique specially with Highline model 5 seater with powerful 162KW engine build and assembled in Germany.

Great test. I'm driving petrol version of CX-5 and I'm perfectly happy with it. I was wondering what CX-5 could have had if it cost that 16, 2 ths bucks more or if there was such option. What I find very attractive is HUD, heated steering wheel and 12-zone matrix LED lights (this would never cross my mind before I owned it).
Guys keep up those great tests. You are one of the best that could be found out here on YT.

Me gustan los dos, elijo la Tiguan. El diseño de Mazda será prontamente muy copiado por los chinos.
El diseño de la Tiguan es menos trendy, y será menos imitado.

Had to choose between these two, went with Tiguan due to better/newer cockpit technology and digital experience, practicality, and robustness. CX-5 had better interior materials but the cockpit looks a bit dated.

Reliability is best in Mazda CX 5 for long term.... Tiguan many times dsg gearbox failure jacket on the low gear on my car which is major issues..just sold off
