Mazda's biggest problem is the fact that the general public doesn't give it enough attention. Great video.

And the fact that it’s still made in Japan with amazing build quality for the price is just beautiful.

A clarificartion on Premium fuel. It is not required for the turbo. It will run regular just fine. 227/310HP/torque on regular and 256/320 on Premium

My daughter's is great, especially because it does not have a CVT transmission. I like the Mazda over a Subaru for this reason. The CX5 is excellent for the price.

I have been driving for over 50 years. GM, Ford, Dodge including 4x4's.Last year we bought a 2021 cx 5 awd. this is without a doubt the best awd system I have used and the car is well built and drives great.

My 22 cx5 has brought me nothing but joy and pure happiness. It is as luxurious as I could ever deserve and the performance combined with its reliability in addition to its beautiful looks have me absolutely sold. I considered so many vehicles but after a decent amount of time spent with the cx-5 I knew it was the most responsible and reasonable vehicle for my hard earned money. God bless Mazda. 🙏

Wife has a cx5 and I have a 3 hatchback. We absolutely love them and the reliability has been incredible. Will continue to own Mazda's

I'm happy someone over there outside Roman and Tommy reviewed a Mazda. All they do is complain about is the infotainment. I've had 2 of these, a non-turbo and a turbo now. It is MILES better than the crv we owned and the RAV that we own parked next to it.

Nathan, I follow all your videos an I think you are one of the best auto journalists on YouTube today. This is not the first review you have done on the CX-5 and I completely understand why. This is possibly the best attainable medium class SUV of the last few years. The quality is impeccable, the driving experience is second to none in its class. A Japanese car which actually is made in Japan. It dwells in a class of its own. Better in many ways than the competition and punching hard above its weight.

I have a 2022 CX-5 Signature and absolutely love it!! Nicest vehicle I have ever owned. And yes it is amazing in the snow, especially with winter tires!!

I'm actually glad the general public doesn't pay mazda that much attention, I went to a used car dealership and they were charging the same for a base accord 19 as a fully loaded cx5 '19 with practically the same milage. I got mine for a steal

Had a CX5 for 5 years. Driven it in deep snow, packed snow, and black ice over Cascade and Sierra Nevada mountain passes multiple times. Incredible every time. The reassurance comes from the feel you get through the steering wheel to the AWD.

Mazda made a great product with the CX5 and I can’t wait to get the CX90 in the new year now we’ve a larger family. Don’t sleep on Mazda

Nathan, you forgot to mention one of the best hidden features of the CX-5, MADE IN JAPAN. The finest auto mfg country in the world!! In terms of long term reliability at least.

I for one will pay a little extra for those three words.

It’s a phenomenal snow car. Record snow in the Rockies, 30+ ski days, and the CX5 devoured all conditions. Amazing vehicle all around.

I don’t own a turbo, but the standard CX-5 is a beast in heavy snow. Takes off in any conditions.

Drove it on Highway 93 near to Mt columbia (in the extreme weather snow and ice). Didn’t skid a bit for about 300kms of the extreme patch, This thing is built different! Basics are done so fkking well … earned my respect 🫡

Thanks for this video; it's timely for those of us in the PNW, getting its first snow of the season. I bought a '23 CX-5 Carbon Edition three months ago and have been delighted with it. It's a great car (and it really drives and feels like a proper car, not a wannabe truck, unlike some crossovers), even without the turbo engine. To me, the greater power and extra features weren't worth the $8-9K more, although they'd be nice to have. Mine hasn't had to slog through really deep snow yet, but what snow I have driven through was shrugged off easily by the CX-5.

We brought new a 2017 CX5 touring and still have it. I Just washed it today from the winter mess. It’s my wife’s car and we both love it. Great in snow and on fuel. It now just rolled over 100k. Never been back to the dealer since we rolled out when new. My only complaint is the paint does not like rocks chips easily being diamond white. I wish we would have added film protection on the paint. Love the heads up display and turning headlamps. Feels like this suv will easily roll over 200 k. We will keep it till the wheels fall off.
