If you're still trying to recover from a Covid-19 infection, these top tips might just speed up that process - these are the lessons learnt from 10 months of studies into the virus, the long tail of symptoms and what might be causing them. They might even be able to stop you going on to develop Long Covid in the first place.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Long Covid Handbook (Oct 2022), by Gez Medinger and Professor Danny Altmann and published by Penguin Books is now available in paperback, ebook and audiobook. A singular resource that brings together everything patients, clinicians and academics have learnt about the condition since early 2020, as well as lessons from sufferers and researchers of ME/CFS and other chronic conditions. It offers world leading expert advice on understanding, managing and treating Long Covid. The Long Covid Handbook is available from the following links:

IMPORTANT: It is ESSENTIAL to talk to your doctor before taking any supplements that you have not taken before, or begin taking them at a larger dose. This regimen is NOT appropriate for children so they should speak to their doctor before taking any of these.

Nicotinic acid / Niacin also has several strong contraindications, they can be seen here:

I have to be clear and say that I am not a doctor, nor am I personally advocating you take Niacin or any other supplement or medication mentioned in this film. This is a decision you must make yourself with the consultation of your GP if you have any concerns at all.

So, all that said - here is what I am currently taking.

Niacin: I started at a low dose (10-20mg)/ be careful of flushing)
Selenium: 100mcg / day
Zinc: 15-30mg / day
Quercetin: 500mg 3x / day
Vitamin C: 500-1000mg 3x / day
Vitamin D: 3-5000iu / day

13 months and still going. Noticed when I went for a physical my Dr. just simply ignored me mentioning covid. I've tested twice negative. But these symptoms remain. Thank you. Its really great to have someone believe you. Had it last March. Thought it was over in June. At the time, I thought I had a cold. I fight on with help from husband and daughters. Thank you for this...time to change Doctors.

This is extremely helpful! I have no idea why it’s so hard to find information about how to help with these long symptoms. Thank you! So glad to not be alone in this

Jazz, THANK YOU for all your posts on long Covid. Im a 58 yo female in the US and 99% of the useful info on this topic has come from you. Covid has caused me to have encephalitis and dementia type symptoms. Quite scary. Keep up the good work, but pace yourself and rest! 😁

I remember and commented on your very first post vita fatigue video- I was only 5 weeks out at the time and now I am 9 months. Your videos are truly so helpful and inspirational. It’s comforting to know that maybe at 12 or 15 months I can have some kind of life again. You are a true light in a very dark tunnel, THANK YOU.

Thank you for all the videos! Like you, I've been suffering with this since March and Niacin has been a game changer for me. I can finally get up and do something! Such a dramatic change in a couple of weeks.
Good luck to you with your recovery. All the best 👍

Thank you very much for the video. I'm 60 years old and I'm at week four of the recovery and I feel that I'm at just 30% of my regular energy or health condition. I was frustrated that it was taking too long to make so little progress, so now I see that it's a fairly common thing for this desease. Thanks again and cheers!

A brilliant summing up to help people with ongoing symptoms.
One thing to add for me in my month 9 was electro acupuncture which enormously helped my autonomic nervous system issues. Ready for my 3rd return to work now in month 10.

Thank you so much for these videos. Like you I've been on this crazy ride since March. The relapses have been persistent and devastating and I've struggled to keep going on many occasions. I've been on the low histamine diet, vitamin stack and anti histamines for the last four weeks now, and I honestly feel like I've turned a corner. I'm starting to feel alive again!! I hope you're feeling better too x

Thank you Gez. I have a tip: the buzzing / vibration feeling can be reduced by hypnotherapy. The buzzing is caused by the body making too much adrenaline, in response to the inflammation. But you can’t heal in fight-or-flight mode. Reducing adrenaline thru deep relaxation puts you in to a better state for healing.

What helps me (chronic Lyme, same symptoms) is to look at the patient groups of POTS, lupus, MS, Alzheimer’s, Ehlers Danlos etc. They have years of experience and a wealth of tips. All the best, long haulers!

So happy to have found this channel. I had, what I would consider a mild case, of covid at the end of December/beginning of January. After recovering I felt normal, albeit tired, for about 2 weeks. Then out of the blue, I started experiencing random episodes of low-grade fever, nausea/heartburn, shortness of breath, extreme muscle and joint pain, and crazy fatigue. These come around every couple of days, and only last a few hours, after which I return to feeling pretty much normal. It is the most bizarre thing I have ever experienced. As a hyper-analytical person who HATES any form of vagueness, I am frustrated by the lack of data and consistent resources on covid and even more so by the lack of information on post-covid. Very curious to know if anyone else is experiencing symptoms in waves as well?

I really liked this video. I got CoVid, did the hospital stay and everything and am home on oxygen support (trying to wean myself off of it). No one seems to understand that the recovery of it isn’t easy nor is it the same for everyone.

Thank you for doing these videos. Like you I caught it in March, got over it tried to go back to work twice and boy it bit back big time. The hardest thing was not knowing WHY I felt so awful, no one knew anything. I understand much more now and its all starting to make sense. I am back at work on reduced hours which is great, one advantage of being self employed (gardening). Just about recovered, just being really careful not to over do it.
