What tests can I do at home to see how strong or how weak the Achilles’ tendon is. I heard single calf raises should I pause for like a good 5 seconds or like what exactly?

Can you give me any timelines to recovery? About a year ago I discovered barefoot running. I started attempting midfoot striking still wearing my regular cushioned shoes. I injured my left calf, recovered, started again (wearing zero-drop sandals) and injured my left calf again. This was all on a treadmill. After a break I decided to start again on the road since road running is what I wanted to do. Unfortunately the road was unforgiving on my legs. I injured the calf again and now I've injured the left achilles tendon. The pain is not too bad. It only hurts if I put too much pressure on it or actually press it. I used Deep heat and Deep freeze gel, cold treatment, heat treatment and compression for a few weeks with no results. It's been more than a month now and no change whatsoever. I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

My dad had a tendon tear in December and he was operated but again he got it ruptured around February and now it shows full tenon tear. The doctor says it needs to be operated again. Can you please suggest me as soon as possible a good doctor who is tendon specialist or something.

I fell off a ladder about 15 years ago and snapped my Achilles tendon it took two years to heal but was always weaker than my other foot, and just recently it swelled up and was brushed went for a xray not conclusive enough, last week I went for a ultrasound and the doctor told me that it had never healed from the the original injury and there's no treatment is this the case?...

I am 15. I woke up and noticed pain in my left calf. The next day, I realized I most likely ruptured my achilles

After two achilles tendon ruptures (I'm currently 10 days post op on second rupture) I can tell you PLEASE don't listen to this guy. A "full assessment" should be the FIRST thing you Not "if progress is going very slow". It's common

Because bones are moved by muscles pulling on the connecting tendon, severance or rupture of the Achilles tendon results in immediate loss of the normal use of the leg and foot.

I dropped a 45lb bar on this part of my foot and it hurts so bad. I can still walk but it hurts a lot.

The NHS are shocking when it comes to care with a Achilles rupture
All I've done is spent 12 weeks in a boot.
Changing range of motion every three weeks.
My heel is not flat and my ankle balloons every single day.
After the boot send you home with a elastic band to do own rehab it's really piss poor.
I walk with a limp now and can't put my heel down.
