Flour Tortillas

Makes 10

350g x Plain Flour
90ml x Neutral Flavoured oil, Melted Fat, or Butter
160ml x Warm Water
6g x Fine Sea Salt

1. Place the flour and oil/fat into a mixing bowl and mix until it has combined and looks crumbly.

2. Dissolve the salt in the warm water and add it to the flour mix.

3. Mix together to form a dough and turn it out onto a workbench. Knead the dough for around 5 minutes until it feels smooth.

4. Shape into a ball and place back into the mixing bowl. Cover and leave to rest for 15 minutes.

5. Next, divide the dough into 10 equal pieces and roll into balls. Roll each ball out as thin as you possibly can using a rolling pin or tortilla press.

6. Place a frying pan over a medium-high heat. Once hot add in the tortilla. When it starts to bubble up it’s time to turn over. They will take 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side to cook.

8. Stack up and enjoy!
