How to use multiple monitors in Remote Desktop for Windows 11

Professor Robert McMillen shows you how to use multiple monitors in Windows 11 when using Remote Desktop Connection. This also works in Windows 10, and I include a command for older operating systems as well.

Just to clarify... so it doesn't matter if the machine you're rdp'ing into has a single monitor, or two, or more? We're trying to rdp into a laptop with no additional monitors attached, and we're not able to run dual monitor on the client machine.. so far at least. We're assuming it's because the host is only configured with a single display. Any thoughts?
UPDATE: Never mind. We have it working now, and you're correct, it doesn't matter if the host machine only has a single monitor.

Thanks for the wonderful video...When I am using the remote desktop feature and using my iPad as a second screen, the top upper part of the iPad screen is blacked out, and the windows which I have moved over to my iPad screen does not display full screen to be able to read effortlessly. What about setting up multiple Display Windows?
For example I want to simulate two FDH+ (1920x1200) displays on a physical 50 inch UHD (3840x2160) monitor.
Failing that, can I specify the display window size (i.e. 3840x1200) ?

I was wondering if it's possible to show the remote desktop on 2 or 3 monitors available. I'd like this so that my laptop can be used simultaneously with my remote desktop on my two connected monitors.

Will this work if I remote in through the citrix app? This is where I have a problem. I open the citrix app, remote in and only one of my monitors is remote.

When I get back to work, I'm not sure how to expand to use the two monitors again. How do you do that so everything is not on the one monitor when I get back to work?
