Using Nvidia Control Panel to set up multiple monitor displays in surround spanning mode configuration.

Oh, I see. So it's in the Nvidia control panel settings to do this. I always wondered how to combine all the monitors together as one, without the actual extended display setting from Windows.

A lot of people are misinformed of the purpose of this function. Basically it allows you to extend multiple displays as one gigantic display. Like the ones you see in sporting events, restaurants, shows, etc. When surround configuration is set, Windows treat it as one big screen instead of the actual individual screen itself. Try maximizing a Youtube video the way it is now. It only makes it big on one screen. Now enable surround configuration from the Nvidia control panel and maximize your Window. What does it do? It maximizes and spreads across all your connected monitors combined.

Is a Four-Monitor Array doable?
I fly open cockpit WW1 aviation sims and I've seen three-monitor setups where a center monitor shows the view ahead and a second and third monitors angled back on the sides show the view to either side; blended to merge when you rotate your head to look around with a head tracker like Track IR.
I've also seen four-monitor setups with one at top center, but only used to display the desktop; not the sim.
QUESTIONS Is it possible to assign a fourth monitor (above the center monitor and angled back) to show an overhead view of the sky in an "open cockpit" aviation simulation?
Will the "wrap around" setting for three multiple monitors also see a fourth one (atop center) as "extra real estate" on which the range of the game image can be extended?
I'd like to build an array that will do that. Any info?

On me Surround was invisible (un tickable) (I disabled optimus from the bios for my laptop. ) I wanted to use laptop screen with external screen.

may work with 1650 even if connectors ar not the same? (mix DP & HDMI)

If you add a third monitor then your center monitor will look right, but that is not an easy solution

I tried this with a 34" 3440x1440 monitor and a 16" 1600x2560 monitor (in portrait mode) hoping to get 5040x1440 or at least 4320x1440 resolution by downscaling the 16" monitor to 900x1440, but unfortunately, the only option was 3840x1080 which is overall lower resolution than the 34" monitor itself. And you still can't watch videos in full screen with both monitors, only on one.

I have a ROG laptop and I and 2 monitors connected. 1 is HDMI the other is a USB HDMI ADAPTER. I am unable to find the surround option and there is only one monitor shows. What should I do, any advice?
