Use
Windows + p to change the display setup.
Windows + shift + arrows to quickly move an application from one monitor to other.

for those having issues "detecting" their 2nd montior AND are using the hdmi port from their mother board on the 2nd monitor: Check to see if your CPU supports integrated graphics, if so load up your BIOS boot window. I use an AMD GPU with an intel CPU and i went up to the "search" feature and typed in "Display" or "Monitor" to show an option to enable multple display setting. After I did that I could finally detect my 2nd monitor and begin the process of setting it up.

I've been using 2 monitors for a couple months now, but I just unplugged them to move and now one isn't being detected. There's only one HDMI port, so it isn't being plugged in wrong, and it was working half an hour ago, so I have no idea what's going wrong now

Edit: one of the HDMI ports on the PC wasn't working right and resetting the whole thing fixed it. Of course lol

This works well for me in my normal environment, however, once I connect to a remote session I start having issues, it's either I can't use the monitors or the main monitor reduces my window size to a very tiny scale or it just defaults to only one monitor. I've tried troubleshooting but no luck and no adjustments can be made in a remote session. Any tips will be appreciated. thanks

Has anyone else had the issue where when you click extend monitors and it only copies the same display so youre not able to work on 2 seperate projects? I am using an VGA cord

I don’t get these settings. I have HP, I have a HDMI spitter and can see the same image on both screens but I don’t get a display or advance settings. This is all brand new computer and monitors from a week old. What do you recommend?
