Howdy. Absolutely great.
My workstation used to run with core 0 close to critical temperature. So I downshifted processor to 60 % using this knowledge. Now the cores are under critical.
I'll be cursed if this did not improve the overall stability. Now I can run several applications in the background while working. Background tasks could stop responding earlier. Now no app. will freeze copletely though the workstation might get a little sluggish.
I would imagine that the CPU got paralyzed intermittently running at the edge.
My suggestion to speed up: Configure the system to make virtual memories (paged) in all drives, externals included. It seems to me that data fetching is faster this way.
Much gratitude and Regards.

I've been having temperature problems with my laptop. Core temp would frequently cross T junction and the machine would just shut off at 105 C. I underclocked to 40 percent, and the overheating still persists but max temperature wouldn't cross 90C. it's no longer shutting off abruptly.
Thank you, this saved me a whole lot of headache.

Can we set cpu clock speed dynamically to specific "fps value" like 60(for e.g clock speed works accordingly to 60 fps work if any heavy fight or battle scene clock speed boost up and when nothing happens it goes down but every time it maintains 60 fps throughout all the game) if i use any kind of fps limiter in game or third party software like rtss or nvdia inspector or any kind it gave me delay on competitive game the reason i wan to cap fps cuz iam 60 fps used to guy i cant play on such high fps my reaction does not match on high fps and i couldn't perform better on high fps compare to 65 to 45 avg fps any one help plz

is there any way to set maximum cpu clock somewhere between base clock(3.6Ghz for 9900k) and overclocked (4.8GHz specified in bios) in windows? when i reduce maximum power consumption from 100% to 99% cpu clock jumps from 4.8ghz to 3.6Ghz, i know i can set it lower (say 4.2Ghz) in bios but i want a power plan in windows for easy switching. any help?
