I can't believe this actually worked, and that it was this simple. I tried for like a year now to figure out why it was crashing and turning this off fixed it right away. That's insane to me. Thanks a lot, friend, God bless you

Wow, thank you for this solution! My Intel Skull NUC had been running at DOUBLE its default speed, and was in a continual state of overheating. This immediately fixed the problem.

Really helpful, seems to fix the newly detected issue with gen 13/14 CPUs that CTD and bluescreen on games. I had an issue with loading times on games as well but I think my CPU already took damage due to the overclocking, they're not meant to be set to 100% by default, but they are, and it hurts 'em bad when you don't even need the extra power.
Cheers for this, you're a legend.

So this doesn't actually show on desktop pc. You have to do it through control panel. Search power in control panel.

I've purchased my second rig form CP. The moment I got it, games always crash after 1 or 2 minutes. I had seen a review also having the same issues. It seems it was overclocking. Even though I NEVER ask for it.

Sure, it boost performance, but it also lowers the lifespan of your rig. I'm hoping this is the issue. I'm trying out your trick, and will update if it works.

When I bought this pc it was for some reason crashing from heat and I found out that it was overclocking so I disabled it and frogot how to do it again. I didnt even need to until my pc died and I used my warranty (my 3070 died and they gave me a 4070 for free bruh from asus bro what) and now it seems they reseet the bios settings and this video saved my cpu phahahah! the second option also worked for me but what I dont understand is why my options have disappeared in the first place. Whenever i go to find these options it takes me to a Microsoft webpage which is extremely annoying. Thanks for this help. Hopefully the ability to change the power settings stays.
