Loved this movie ❤️💙😍. The twisting and turning plot kept my interest. One of the reasons this movie was good was that there wasn't any dead time. The scenes kept me glued to the sequencing. One happening after another, and above all, it had a happy ending.

*I started out knowing nothing about this movie other than the year it was released (1947) and that a handful of actors totally unknown to me were starring in it. It's an odd little movie which leads the main character (a dreamer) through a series of events that takes him closer and closer towards a rendezvous with the electric chair for a murder he didn't commit. A good little film that was probably forgotten by most decades and decades ago. That is, until the miracle of the Internet.*

10 years old when I saw this movie at the United Artists theater in Pomona Ca. I'm so grateful to be born and alive in this era. Everything seemed to make sense, and our bustling thriving little town was a joy to grow up and live in.
