More info on Lutein and how amazing Lutein is for the eyes:

I am a strong believer that the food we eat can very much be a form of medicine as many of the medications we have are often derived from naturally growing plants. Foods that are good for the eyes are largely fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables provide much of the antioxidants and minerals to help combat the high metabolic and oxidative demand of the retina and the ocular structures.

For example, sweet potatoes and carrots are often regarded as the best foods for eyes because they have a large amount of vitamin A. Vitamin A is excellent for helping with night vision and can even play a role in dry eyes.

Green leafy vegetables also contain high amounts of lutein and zeaxanthin, which are caratonoids that play a vital role in the health of the macula, the central part of the retina which provides the sharp reading ability of eyesight as well as color perception. Lutein and Zeazanthin also play a role as natural blue light blockers and help with oxidative stress and inflammation which may occur within the retina.

Omega 3 fatty acids have also been shown to play a positive role in a diet for healthy eyes. Diets rich in omega 3s have been linked to improvements in dry eye, diebetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

So my mom is a secret eye doctor, we eat salmon/fish every week, spinach once in a while, and walnuts&almonds with honey in breakfeast. Also carrots!
Because of genetics I wear glasses ofc.
Interesting video though, so keeping eyes healthy is not that hard.

Thanks so much for this list of foods that are good for the eyes. I’m happy to say that each is already part of my daily, weekly, monthly food intake. I was surprised to hear that sweet potatoes were more beneficial than carrots because carrots are my ultimate favorite vegetable. 🥕🥕🥕

I find comfort in your videos - I’m 66 and have been diagnosed with macular degeneration. For 6 years now I have followed a food diet - like you have mentioned- every 6 months I go in for my eye exam follow up and my vision is the same. I also have found a very clean eye supplement on line - they claim to be chemical free.
Thank you for educating us I feel blessed to have your wisdom in my journey.

If you have any other information on my situation, please let me know. I would appreciate it so very much.

Hello Dr, I made a smoothie the other day, coincidentally with, spinach, kale, carrots, water, banana and a touch of ginger and turmeric seasoning, not bad and hopefully healthy!! P.S if you find Kale to be a bit bitter tasting, put it in an oven tray with olive oil, lemon juice, touch of garlic, sea salt, and if you like spicy food a seasoning like crushed chillies for approximately 10 minutes until crispy, personally I love it !!
