The trailer for Joker: Folie a Deux debuted on April 9 and featured footage teasing the musical relationship between Joker and Harley Quinn. The sequel sees Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn joining Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, and the film will feature many musical sequences showcasing their shared delusional romance. While a sequel to Joker wasn't one many expected, the first film made over $1 billion at the box office, meaning Warner Bros. would want to capitalize on its success.

The studio is doing exactly with this sequel, and it could have similar success to the original after the trailer broke a significant record. The first trailer received 167 million times in 24 hours, breaking the record for 24-hour viewership for a Warner Bros. trailer previously held by Barbie. Barbie also made well over $1 billion, so early signs could be pointing to a much-needed win for DC. However, Joker 2 couldn't bring another trailer record recently broken by Marvel.

this will be a comeback after the DCEU Universe was completely abandoned by moviegoers last year. Joker 2: Folie a Duex will be the movie that gets DC back on track and the fans who enjoy this kind of stuff.

Something to Consider: this film fleshes out Joker's psychological influence that manifests in the people of Gotham, turning them into hosts of his 'madness' and 'insanity.' Think of Jerome Valeska and his brother from the series *Gotham* as examples of how his chaotic nature spreads. I think general people are so quick to assume this Joker is the Prince of Crime Gotham fears. This film could just mirror not the origin story of the character, but the origin of the Joker persona and the variations that evolve in different ways. How this contagious chaos shapes the city's landscape/future and also the impact on Batman/his own psyche, especially in the context of the complex friendship and rivalry between him and the future Joker. Perhaps implications this has for the future Joker(s) who might take up his mantle.

Joaquin Phoenix is insanely good actor, one of the greatest of current day, and this role is just perfect for him, and to get Lady Gaga in her own element and fitting character, this should be a proper cady 🥰🤪 love the first movie to bits, have high expectations!
