Nice touch that while Walt is in a funeral reception, Thao's family is welcoming a newborn. Different ends of the spectrum. Nice way to kind of juxtapose the two before they even get to know each other

Walt's house and yard are all nice, neat, and clean, but his neighbors homes are all run down and totally ghetto. He didn't have much more than these people in possessions, but took pride in what he did have. This was the epitome of the old school working class man!
