SPOILERS in description below:

===========

0:00 the gopher reminds me the movie- the Straight story(1999)... one tough old son of a gun~

0:15 "I can see that"
- nice pun: Mr. Kowalski surely comprehends "It's a phone", and his farsighted eyes can also see the enlarged keypads~

0:40 "the coffin nails"
that's sweet~

The groaning is epic, again~... I know if I wasn't go senile then, that's exact what I would do... And I will keep the cake as well, never let food go to waste~

Wow! No wonder he hated his family. They are SO greedy! I honestly felt bad for Walt. But, he did a good thing kickin' them out. If my family was greedy, I would've done the same thing.

90 years old and he still hasn't retired. Clint's a champ

Damn. Even in 2008, Clint Eastwood knew of the Karens

For those of you who don't understand this scene (and thought Walt was overreacting). What the son (and his wife) wanted was for Walt to move out of the house to some cheap area (retired homes are specifically cheap), so that they can sell the house and keep the money for themselves.

This scene is actually rather terrifying when you think about it. Most of us here will grow old and will end up like Walt, alone and with a family who only want your pension money and life-long possessions.

In my eyes its the greatest disrespect to put your parents in a retirement home. When my folks are old imma make sure they have a place with me and my family.

My only hope in life, after watching this, is that my son doesn't turn out this way.

this is why i love walt, most people DO start wanting to take things easier after years of working hard but not him, he will stay working hard until the end

honestly if I was Walt's son I would have gotten him a bottle of quality brand wax for his grand Torino and an awesome looking cake and a Rolex

"Kicking us out on his birthday!"
Walt: "DID I MENTION YOU'RE OFF MY WILL TOO?"

Never would I ever convince my parents to move out of the house to a retirement home with intentions of taking their property and possessions. This scene is so accurate on how adult kids treat their elderly parents.. Mitch and Karen were even so cheap as to give him a reacher and phone that he didn't need and even the store bought cake was quite dull

I understand his anger. Its like he will be treated like an down syndrome man with people they just act like there kindn and underrestimate you. All because its there job and you dont have anybody else anymore without them. He dont want treatment, He just wants respect from his family and dying in piece when the time comes.

The telephone is something, while clueless, still nice.

The stick is straight up rude and insulting because is proof of just how much the son is unaware of his own father

I couldn’t even imagine the pain and emotion old folks must go through when dealing with shit like that. I’d definitely feel the same way as him if my son or daughter tried to get me out of my house like that.
