Magnetized while asleep in surgery 🧲

Magents are used in surgery to modify how peacemakers and internal defibrillators affect your heart during surgery when you're under anesthesia. Magnets provide life saving changes quickly to these devices so they don't interfere with surgery to cause cardiac arrest and other complications. you may never know we place them on you because you're asleep though!

Just to add for those that are curious- A pacemaker usually has tailored settings. The magnet signals the pacemaker to go into more of a default setting that can be more beneficial to certain situations such as certain arrhythmias or electrical interference.

Interesting! Could you explain this more in a video? I have a pacemaker and they have had a pacemaker tech present when I have had cardiac procedures under general anesthesia in the EP Lab. My understanding was that they simply adjusted the settings for the period of the procedure and then reset it at the end. I would like to understand more about this.

Nice! I really enjoy donating to the anesthesiologist Foundation, since it was hard for me to go to college because of my cerebral palsy, I really wanted to be a anesthesiologist physician! I love helping people!

It's partially because your pacemaker might try to keep your pulse above 59 bpm and also because that if you do go into cardiac arrest your device and the external defibrillator might be sending electrical signals to each other and working at cross purposes.

I have a pacemaker. I’m always nervous about getting a new battery. I had a doctor in Alabama and he is nutzz. I thank the Lord I got through it. He was verbally abusive and I remember waking up during surgery with a stabbing and I mean stabbing pain in my chest. I truly believe some of the people in Hospital facilities are in a cult and enjoy hurting people. Truly sadness.

You’re an Exceptional Doctor- Dr. K. Love your videos and a subscriber.
I am preparing for Hip Surgery. I haven’t been nervous since Dr Glenn Bigsby, D.O. - did my cancer surgery in 2009.
I have found peace with the surgeons after this horrible experience.
I had appendices- 5.5 hours of surgery; because I thought it was food poisoning from eating a pice of chicken at 10:30 pm the night before & working in my studio with heavy Guilded Frames, all night . Moving from one table to another for various processes.
My Son, thank goodness, was on holiday and came home to visit, he called my Dr & our dear Maxine saud” sounds like it’s her appendix. It was a double ruptured appendix; because Glenn Bigsby nicked my appendix during surgery. That’s why my Dr couldn’t find any pre op- or post op notes from the surgery. I now believe he nicked my bladder.
My appendix double ruptured in march if 2017( with green stuff coming out of me Female area) my Dr notated it right after the oncology surgery!!! It took 8 years for my appendix to rupture. I’ve had a UTI since, April 2020, with swollen abdomen, legs, ankles& feet . I just found out today that its called “ Lymphatic Disease “. At least now we have a name . This usually occurs after cancer surgery and radiation treatment; which is exactly what Glenn Bigsby did he only used radiation…. Oh my the radiation.. lol was so intense; I have not shave my legs since 2009. It’s now 2023. No hair yet, anywhere! lol .. stay away from Glenn Bigsby o.d. …( he doesn’t deserve capital letters after his name, in my opinion!! I thank Dr K., M.D. for your Brilliant Work, and time to educate us! Well Done⭐️
Kindly, artchem
