Yes, it most definitely hurt in the beginning, but the Lord did a work in me that included new desires & new friends.

It's really true. Even before I totally submitted to God, I decided I didn't want people doing certain things in my home . . . like smoking weed. I didn't smoke it but most of my friends did. But, one evening at a get together, I decided I just didn't want it around my house. It's 1978 and I have a 3 yr old son; it was Very illegal; &, besides, it stunk up my apartment, not to mention it prob'ly, bothered neighbors. I mean, common sense, right? So, right in the middle of party, I told a couple of people that I don't wish to have weed smoked at my home anymore. (They were surprised because I actually held firm.)

Anyway, the true friends of mine understood and even discouraged the nay-sayers from givin' me a hassle. While I entertained a lot prior, few of the "friends" at this lil party ever came over. Even my "true friends" came around less--but, when they did they respected my wishes... At the time, it felt bad . . . But, it didn't take all that long to know I'd done right by my child, and even Jesus (in spite of my definite fence sitting, lol)... The loneliness will go away because God is faithful to open new and more exciting doors, thru which new friends may walk💕🦋

I don’t think I have that much time left or I’d willingly do that. At 58 yrs old I spent at least 37 yrs of them in constant sin.

New Spirit New Friends. 😊 Human Rejections are God's Protections. They should reject you because you are of God. If they don't reject you, then you have a problem with God. That means God is not pleased with you.
