i am using ssd on sata2 and i can confirm. It was huge speed improvement on all aspects of Computer performance. IT is verry good to have ssd even at sata2

Just bought an SSD 120GB as my boot up for windows and to install a few games. Its the best upgrade you can ever do to your computer, it doesnt matter if you have a great processor if you have a regular HDD you wont feel the performance. I never realized how important a storage driver was for performance till today. I fucking love it. I feel like I have a new computer.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! I have a SATA 2 laptop and just upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows10 made a big boot up speed difference. Program launches are faster too. I still have my HDD so far but I will be getting a SSD as soon as possible.

I installed an ssd in an old Acer X480g with sata ii and it still made a big improvement. Transfer speeds are nowhere need sata 3 but still usable compared with hdd.

Loud high-pitched whining noise from old hard drive made me finally take the move to an SSD . In an older sata 2 hp pro desktop i installed Windows 10 in 15 minutes.

Excelente explicacion. Básicamente el SSD es 2 a 3 veces mas rápido que el HDD tradicional (ambos conectados por SATA II)
Por lo tanto vale mucho la pena poner un SSD en una pc vieja con este puerto para darle una segunda vida.

I placed order western digital ssd a few hours ago. Then suddenly i thought my laptop maynot have sata 3 port. So, i was little worried and was thinking about cancelling the order. After watching this video, i am relieved. At least it will work even though at lower speed than on sata 3 port.
