Enkidu, a legendary hero originally appearing in Sumerian literary compositions, which were incorporated, with alterations, in the Akkadian epic of Gilgamesh. Enkidu’s name has been variously interpreted: as identical with the deity Enkimdu or meaning “lord of the reed marsh” or “Enki has created.” In the epic of Gilgamesh, Enkidu is a wild man created by the god Anu. After Gilgamesh defeats him, the two become friends (in some versions Enkidu becomes Gilgamesh’s servant). He aids Gilgamesh in killing the divine bull sent by the goddess Ishtar to destroy them. The gods then kill Enkidu in revenge, prompting Gilgamesh to search for immortality.

😆 The Anunnaki are NOT the Nephilim. The Nephilim are the offspring of the IGIGI who came to earth, taking wive's and revolting against ENLIL, Yahweh. Enki, Enlil's brother was way before Gilgamesh the part human being part annunaki or some say Igigi. Gilgamesh lived wild in the wilderness when humans were kings. When Enki and Enlil were running the show before Marduk was even born there were no human kings or royalty. Read the Elish completely. You're mixing ages of time, eons and eons.

What's to say the epic of Gilgamesh was fiction? They may. Not have been like us. Everyone assumes they were like us so the kings list is just fantasy. They only had time for truth in those days. Why do you wast your time on the Annunaki if you believe it too be fiction
