Hasselback Potatoes Recipe:

Potatoes - 5 nos
Oil - 3 tbsp
Butter - ½ cup
Garlic (finely chopped) - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Thyme (dried) - 1 tbsp
Black Pepper Powder - ½ tsp
Butter - ½ Cup

For the Cheese Melt :
Cheddar (grated) - 1 Cup
Fresh Cream - ¾ cup
Parsley (dried) - For garnish
Paprika - For garnish

Cooking Instructions:

1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly. Slice them evenly but not all the way through so that the bottom of the potato is intact.

2. In a bowl of melted butter, add chopped garlic and parsley. Mix them well till they combine.

3. Arrange the potatoes on a baking tray. Generously brush the flavoured butter on the potatoes and inside the gaps of each slice. Keep the remaining butter aside.

4. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper. Bake it at 180 degrees celsius for one hour

5. Keep basting the potatoes with the reserved butter at regular intervals.

6. Prepare a cheese melt but heating up cream, add the grated cheddar and mix it till the cheese melts.

7. Garnish it with parsley.

Cooking Tips:

1. Make sure the base of the potato is intact while cutting it

2. Make sure the potatoes cook fully.

3. Keep some Butter aside to use it for basting the potatoes while baking if there isnt enough on the tray.
