“Your diagnosis is that you are human.”
I love that.
Thank you for another amazingly helpful video.

Thank you for sharing these experiences. I work as a mental health therapist and in the last few years have struggled with anxiety and panic myself. I felt like I had no right to be helping others when I was unable to manage my own mental health. It is so reassuring and validating to hear your stories. Thank you.

My God, I felt it when Doctor Ramani said that her cat saved her. My cat saved me too! Yay for animals ♥️ They are the best friends whose love is genuine. More animals, less humans 🐾

I just watched part 1 and 2 of this video. I started crying as soon as Dr. Ramani started crying also. To be honest I skipped over the others and went directly to her on this video. Me too, I decided to exchange my job for my soul in 2016. I quit my corporate job, drastically reduced my expenses and went living in paradise on earth, in a small village, wood house and 5 pets. What did the trick for me was a vipassana retreat in Nepal. I went only because they promised that nobody would speak to me during 10 days (Noble silence- yep, that's how I heard it). At the end, one of the monks came to me and said: Maria, if you don't know where ypou are going, why do you keep on running? Since then, I've been doing a lot of work on myself, truth be told with mixed results. Probably it's just a thing that stays forever in your body, as Dr. Ramani said. Nevertheless, to intelectually aknowledge it and to learn new healthy copping mechanisms is already very helpful.

Really love the insights about the 5 Vs and Dr. Ramani’s story about breaking up the days into manageable chunks. Cats are great alarm clocks! Thank you so much to the Medcircle therapists for sharing these personal stories. 🙏

Again, really appreciate these videos. I see so much of my story in dr. Ramani's, from academia to a kitty waiting for breakfast 😂💕 Thank you so much for being so vulnerable and open, wish you all the best in this new chapter.

I saw the first one as well and SO appreciate your vulnerability in your own lives and processes. Your stories show your humanity and process, your personal expertise and belief in mental and emotional health applied to your own lives. Appreciate you all so much!

Thank you, I'm struggling with the pieces of me.
Although I feel I am not understood by my social worker who thinks mothers are on a shrine, I feel proud I am looking for help, my mother is a cover narcissist, just figured that out at 48 and the weak sense of me just crumbled and I really need help! At least I am crying it all out and that helps even if I feel struck by a train all the time. This was encouraging and inspiring.

Experiencing these things brings authenticity to your profession and your knowledge on helping others through their own individual challenges and circumstances that was on their path and now on the road to healing.

Dr Ramini, I appreciate you telling your story and can relate to how our animals can save us because they need to be cared for.

I was able to relate to Judy and Dr Ramani. I lost my grandmother when I was 11 and I never talked about it with anyone till I was an adult. I thought that I had to be strong for my dad. He was already upset with losing his mom and seeing me upset would just make it harder on him I thought. My grandmother had a heart attack and died, but nobody told me that she had been having problems and didn't take care of her heart problems and so that is why she had a heart attack. I thought that she just suddenly had a heart attack and died and so I was always afraid that I was going die of a heart attack. Then later on in life I found out it was because she didn't have the surgery that she needed to have on her heart and so it caused her to have a heart attack, I became angry with her after all these years for not doing everything she could to stay alive so that we would have more time together. Also I had a traumatic experience in my 40s that involved police and now I get scared or really nervous around cops and I have flash backs at times and and sometimes nightmares still several years later. I am getting counseling though and it is helping.

What a excellent talk! I love this.

Thank you Dr. Judith, stages of grief walk me thru alot. I wish existential dread wasn't so high but it's ok I'm researching thru my grief.

Anxiety is a feeling. It is only understandable that people look for reasons as to why they are feeling anxiety. Going for a complete physical which includes things like a lung function test is where to start. If something for example is amiss in your lung function test then keep on asking more questions until getting a full set of answers as to why your lung function is not ideal and then keep on asking questions as to why treatment is not showing any improvement on your next lung function test results. Only after all of your physical health problems are properly addressed is the time to go seek help from a psychologist or a psychiatrist for your mental health. Unless you are living or working with someone who is emotionally and/or physically abusing you too. Regardless, don't ever settle for not having your physical health problems treated properly while getting help in trying to figure out how to get away from a close relative or while in financial trouble. That is too much for anyone to cope with alone.
