How is the Medicare Part B Deductible Applied?
Показать описание
The Medicare Part B deductible is applied based on the date the claim is processed by Medicare, not the actual date you received the service.
However, certain services won't be applied toward your deductible.
The Medicare Part B deductible in 2013 is $147 per calendar year.
A provider may ask you to pay a portion of your deductible at the time you get the service, or bill you after getting the Medicare approved amount.
A provider can't bill you more than the amount Medicare approves for the services you received that day.
In addition, the provider should show the amount you already paid on the claim they submit to Medicare.
