I work as a caseworker in a hospital please get Medicare A &B for your elderly parents and don’t allow them to get Freedom/ United Healthcare. Make sure you do your research when getting these advantage MCR most of them don’t have benefits. Cheap is not always cheap!!!!

Thank you Sherri that's so beneficial and helpful. My son is special needs receive social security but he is only 22 but he receives Medicare A&B but I'm going to check to see if he qualifies for C

I have worked in the Medical field for 35 years. The information here is not 100% accurate. Many specialists and hospitals do not participate in some Part C plans and patients have to fight to get their claims paid and have had to pay a lot themselves. So please be very careful when you pick these plans. Not 100% accurate at all.

Part C is not as wonderful as she makes it sounds. Even with 0 copay, Advantage plans have a premium that is often more costly than just paying out of pocket. They also pay doctors less than half their usual fees. Think about a health savings account for routine vision and dental. Good rx has great prices for drugs and some pharmacies offer a savings program.

Yes i do have been doing my research and im finding that part c is not all that great. it will be for my adult disable son and his present doctors to include vision and dental do not take it. Do your reasearch and tell them up front you are just checking, you will get so many calls from these people.
