I have Parts A and B. I've also just signed up with an 'Advantage Plan'. Will I need to also pay Medicare for Part C? This is all so confusing.

My advice to any retiree looking at enrolling in Medicare at age 65 years. Never select Medicare Part C (Advantage Plans) as over the long term you will land up paying more on Medicare Advantage Plans especially if you need hospitalizations down the road. Original Medicare Plans G and N are less restrictive and cheaper over long term

The video fails to emphasize the downsides of Advantage Part C coverage versus traditional Medicare (Parts A, B & D). People should be wary of anything that is touted by ad nauseam television commercials from insurance companies - the real advantage is theirs', not your's.

Is there an advantage plan offered in Wyoming in the southwest portion of the state? If so, can I as being 100% disabled drawing Medicare since January 2021, parts A, B, and D qualify for an Advantage plan now at 63 years old, or do I have to wait till the age of 65? Such as for Vision, Dental, and Hearing, etc!

This might be true in a major city like Chicao however those in rural America gobto hospitals and find oit their advantage plan is a disadvantage and they owe most if not all the bill. Humana is the worst. Blue Cross wont pay for skilled care so a broken hip rehab pays nothing. If you sign up for Advantage and then get cancer or have any medical issues and have to pay 30 40 thousand dollars you might want to switch to plan A and B with a supplement. Oh no advantage forgot to yell you they have to urn over your medical issues then if not all supplement insurance companies wont take you as a client. My husband has major heart issues. We have plan A anB plus a supplement-plan G which costs us 126 per month. He has had major surgeries this year and we were out of pocket $266. Thats it. His one bill was $188, 000. We paid $266. Dont do advantage.

If I enroll in an Advantage plan, does that mean I'll have a deductible for both the Advantage plan and part d part of my plan?

I watched a video stating if I choose Medicare Advantage and Part C, I would be covered as an expat living in Mexico for emergency care while in MX, and would be reimbursed.. And any other medical care would have to be in the US. Is this true?

What are the short and long term downsides to Advantage plans? Can I be canceled? Rollover year-to-year? Limits?

This video was an irresponsible advertisement for Advantage plans which did not cover ANY of the many disadvantages of Advantage plans. Since Boomer brokers make more money for signing people up to Advantage than they do for traditional Medigap plans, that's no surprise.
