You don't do the botox in the interscalene space ( between the 2 scalenes) but intrascalene (inside the muscles). It is not a brachial plexus block ( that is a total different thing ). It is just botox injection ( chemical denervation) in the scalenes.
You sure this was dictated by a doctor ? Plus it does not really help and often makes patients worse ( since apparently the scalenes have developed fibrosis or contain tendinous bands neither of which respond to botox).
Expecting more from Johns Hopkins....
