I had the same exact issues that you're having. Switching to raw A2/A2 milk didn't make any difference to my stomach problems. I thought maybe taking steps to heal my gut first would help. I cut out grains for a time and all seed oils and started eating fermented foods like sauerkraut, pickles, and even some raw milk kefir is small dosages at first. I also became very diligent about making sure I got enough vitamin d, c, zinc, etc. It took some time but now I can drink raw milk and other dairy products without any problems at all. Worth a shot.

I can't explain how thankful I am for you guys to have done this video. I've been so ill for the last couple of years and couldn't figure out what was happening; my doctors and I are even considering that it may be an autoimmune disorder. But this could also be another pathway to an answer! My allergy tests all came back negative but if it's a non-IgE allergy than it would explain why I'm still feeling sick with negative testing. I'm so excited to go back with this info and start cutting potential sensitivities out to see if I can get some of those healthy feelings back. Thank you so, so much!

I feel so sad for you! But I’m glad you found out and that you did this for the rest of us.

Thank you!!! I have the same issue with milk and I've been so curious about the raw, A2/A2 thing. I can have hard cheeses no problem, and sometimes cooked milk, but it seems like anything fatty or uncooked (ice cream, brie, yogurt, straight milk, butter) wants to hurt me. I know I tolerate goats milk at least, so we're slowly building up to that, but I've been so curious about the cows! Seems like a huge investment for that sort of risk, and I haven't found anything unbiased online. So thank you for taking one for the team and convincing me to stick with the goats (and maybe add dairy sheep for the creamy things one day...)

As someone who has a non IGE allergy to the A1 cows milk protein (that worsened after pregnancy), I cringed when you drank the WHOLE glass. Dear heavens you’re brave.
My reaction is usually 4-12 hrs. after consuming. Unlike my friend who is lactose intolerant and her reaction is within the hour. Our symptoms are very different as well.
I can handle goat, sheep and buffalo dairy products with no problem!
No matter what you have, you will figure out what you can and can’t handle with time. Best of luck!

Have you had your Gallbladder checked milk products used to kill me. Until I finally got so sick I went to the VA hospital. Turned out that is was my Gallbladder and dairy aggravated the issue. After I had it removed the issues went away. And I literally had the Thomas the train issues for probably 4 or 5 years. I Just never thought about the dairy because I never had issues as a kid with milk or cheese. Hopefully you will find the answer at some point.

Yes, I’ve had GI problems my entire life. I learned a lot from your video. Thank you so much for sharing this information.

I thought the experiment was supposed to be a glass of A2/A2 milk but then you were talking about gorging on shortbread butter cookies so I'm confused about what exactly went down here. What were the ingredients in the cookies besides the butter? Was the butter made with A2/A2 milk??

Heres a grandma story about raw milk products: my grandmother was very active with the church ladies group, but didnt often have them to the house to entertain. Between lots of small children and not much money, having the ladies over was a challenge, but one fine summer she rose to the occasion and invited them to luncheon. There was fresh fried chicken, cole slaw (with a homemade cream based salad dressing), a real whipped cream fruit filled salad, cream scones with fresh butter and homemade jam, and dessert was strawberry shortcake with heaps of fresh whipped cream that was thick and rich from the newly freshened brown swiss cow. Grandma always said it was even a pale yellow from the butterfat.
The ladies ate and ate and complimented and ate some more. (This was in the late 30s, and the ladies were all town women. Getting such fresh food was a real treat, apparently). When the last spoonfulls were being eaten, the ladies began to get odd looks on their faces and asked to be excused to "visit the hollyhocks". Only an outhouse on the farm. Grandma was always a little proud that the food was all so good, and a little sorry the ladies werent used to such rich food.

My wife is lactose intolerant and the Lactaid products worked well for her. When she would have pizza or any cheese products it was almost an instantaneous reaction where she would have to run to the bathroom or emit some noxious Bombs.
So we have goats now and admittedly the first 2 weeks of just consuming raw goats milk was an adjustment. About 4 months in and she is doing great on the goats milk. So I hope goat milk helps you.
It is so good in my coffee and after switching to mainly an alfalfa diet and black sunflower seed the butterfly and creaminess has increased.
Best of luck

This is an excellent excellent video with so much personal information!!! I am also a dairy lover with an intolerance like you are describing and I periodically go into denial

I grew up drinking raw cow's milk and had no noticible issues. Fast forward 30 years, and I got tested for a vast number of allergies and intolerances. One of the items that came back as "allergen" for me was Casein. For me, consumption of my allergen causes widespread inflammation response that makes my stomach feel gross and all my joints ache. I have had goat's milk with no reactions though, so I believe my allergy is one of the more common (A1 Casein protein), though I have not tried A2 Cow's milk. I would highly recommend doing a test to see if the allergen could be isolated for you, because I understand what torture it is to do a trial-and-error approach.

I can drink non-homogenized milk with no bad reactions, but I cannot drink homogenized milk, unless it lactose free. As I understand the molecules are modified during homogenization, and pass through the intestinal walls.

Hey guys we are a small Homestead in Canada, we were looking at picking up our first dairy cow because I am diagnosed lactose intolerant but after watching this video we are second guessing our decision. By the sounds of it I am not lactose intolerant, but more like you Austin, with a protein allergy. Can't wait for your test on the other animals milk! We've tried goat, but everything here is pasteurized from stores.

Aside from intolerance/allergy, dairy is one of the most inflammatory foods in general, so dropping it can be helpful. One last thing you could try if youre up for it is to make ghee from the butter and see how that treats you. I know for myself while i can drink milk and consume dairy, when I dont for a long time and say have a glass of milk, I get a bit phlemmy, where things like cheese, butter etc are much better tolerated, with ghee the most tolerated of all. That said, I do like my carinvore keto diet best.

Didn't read the comments, just saying, it's not "raw" if it's baked 😬
Also, I'd give sheep's milk a shot. I can't believe you're going back to camels! That's both cool and ironic. Can't wait to see how you feel!
