Wow, you just changed the game for me!! I can't have regular condensed milk that I see in stores because the high sugar content makes me sick. I didn't realize I could so easily just make condensed milk at home and substitute in a no-sugar sweetener that is safe for me. Thank you so much for this!!

Made this using *low-fat milk*

RECIPE FOR LOW-FAT MILK: (adjust to needs)
- use 400ml milk (makes about 150ml condensed milk)
- 1 cup sugar

Then place on stove on high, takes about 30 minutes (depends on the amount of milk)

Wait till it puffs and rises 3 times and keep stirring during these times then after turn heat to medium

Remove when thick after the 3 ‘puffs’ (can check using a spatula swipe on pan)

Cool down till good consistency for you :))

Oh I love eating it on its own. Sadly, the price of condensed milk here has literally tripled in some stores and stores that sell cheaper, are out of stock for a fee months at a time.
I will have to resort to making my own.
