Moving onto the foundation steps on the Tru-Oil process. Applying the second coat and sanding a wet area to create a colormatch slurry which is worked in to fill the grain and ensure a uniform base and also make sure the stock is totally sealed with tru-oil

I wish you would show your finished product, wish I could see the Mossberg bolt action shotgun finished. If there is a video of it please post a link. You are awesome at what you do buddy and make it all look so simple! Keep it up!

I was surprised with the 220 but I guess I was thinking more of a wet sand. Anxious to try it out on that shotgun.

As I get into the later coats I go to 400 or fine steel wool, youll see that in part 4

I have never seen anyone do this surry sealant you did. I've heard that Tru Oil is a sealant in itself. I didn't do it on my shotgun... Is it that big of a deal?

too much oil in one time, many thin layers of oil is better, maybe 10 times

I know this is an old video but bro your way past the point of filling the grain you pore fill in the begining not after you have already built up a thick layer all your doing is making a bigger mess
