Greetings All,

In this episode we examine the methods used here at Restomod Daisy to apply a Danish Oil finish to our curly maple stock sets. There are many ways to do this, this is but one of them. This was supposed to be a single video but technical difficulties arose so it's now a 2 part segment. This one one cover initial application of the Danish Oil and part 2 will illustrate the final coat and sanding process.

Thanks for watching!

Always amazed at your craftsmanship and attention to detail. I have a pretty good idea as to how you rough cut the wood, but no clue as to how you "finish" the parts? Cuts, curves, fittings, etc.

I love the natural wood. I often have resorted to paint or one step stain for time saving but your work is great!

Absolutely Awesome!! Your craftsmanship and workmanship is absolutely amazing that is really really beautiful. Sometimes it’s just better to let the craftsman make the parts. What would you charge to do this for a late model red Ryder BB gun??

New here, so apologies for what is likely a dumb question (or three)...

I've got a Daisy 450 that I found at a church yard sale for <$10. I fell in love at first sight, so it's a keeper. I've managed to design and 3D print spare cylinders for it (the original ones are IMPOSSIBLE to find), but I can't get it to fire. It seems to be the pellet rifle equivalent to the Model 99, but since it uses the weird proprietary cylinders, and can't find much information on it. Here come the questions. 1. Can I use something like a coat hanger (or the metal rod from a pants hanger) as a makeshift spring reliever? 2. It looks like the rubber hose/gasket thing that connects the plunger tube to the breech has disintegrated. Any idea where I could find a replacement? If not, do you think it would be possible to make my own? 3. If the plunger assembly needs redone (which I have a bad feeling it will), where do find those parts?

I know that's a lot, and that you're not getting paid to answer, but I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks

Did you get the email I sent you about making stocks?

I have an idea, what if you cut down a new red Ryder or an old red Ryder and turned it into a Mare’s Leg? The short barrel would be hard for the feeding but there has to be some way to do it.

Will the original wood that the gun came with turn out good I’m wondering
