If you need a chain drag harrow for light duty work, we show you how to make a homemade chain drag harrow for less than $40.

It's not a viable option for heavy duty field work but works great for smoothing uneven areas and burying grass seed, saving you a ton of work not having to rake it in.

I got a box blade and your idea might be just perfect to “finish the job up”. Thanks for the idea!

Believe it or not I tried old bed springs with weight on it for my gravel thing I have ever used.

I have been trying to come up with an idea for a small drag for where I keep my horses and I just so happen to have an extra old chain link gateand I've been thinking about using that all alone and seeing how you did it really was very informational I'm going to try putting a tire on it and use bunches to keep it from flying off

I used something similar, and noticed over time, pieces of chain link eventually broke off. I started finding sharp chunks of wire on the ground. Keep and eye on the fence, and watch for wear.

What do you think for weeds? Got 40 acres with super shallow rooted weeds, grass, etc. and it slides right out with a rack but as you cac image, takes forever. Do you think this could get the job done? Want to attach it to an ATV

This is more of a drag mat than a harrow. What makes a harrow expensive are the tines that are attached to the "fencing" that dig in and make the work go a lot faster than just a drag but if you've got the time this will get the job done!

You're "THE MAN". Like me, you'd rather repurpose something and get the job done! And save some Benjamins. I have 3 gates in my shed that I'm going to use to fix my driveway. I was wondering, have you used yours on gravel?
