It's high time ppl file a case against brands that cheat the audience like this.. The price of an OLED is the biggest fraud!!
Bravia 9 was made for the general audience who don't know anything about TVs except for the brands and price tags (like most ppl) and go on to buy the costliest tv thinking it'll be the best of all TVs.

What about movies and upscaling? Can you play some movie trailers in 1080p? Would love to see how they compare. Im sure we all do.

9:09 That fire looks way brighter and more colorful on the Sony. The light reflecting off the gun is also more vibrant and tightly focused on the rounded edge of the gun rather than being more a yellow, amorphous blob. The picture on the Sony (in that particular scene) also has better overall contrast and image depth

Sony has a nasty habit of overcharging their customers for tech - regardless of how old it is ( i own an A7IV too, that camera 3 years later is still $2400... Yuk ) now they are doing the same on TVs 😂

Like I said in your last video, good on you for doing this for the people. Hopefully more people will appreciate it than not appreciate it! I’m not surprised at all how well the TCL can do! Sony really has just lost what made them good! If it wasn’t in my opinion for the fact that PlayStation just plays so much better than an Xbox Sony would have literally nothing! Glad you enjoy both consoles though.

I have an old tcl 6 series 6 from like 3 years ago, i was thinking about upgrading i really love your calibration, but im curious because a tcl qm8 rn is under 1, 000 and obviously nothing really beats oled but my first choice was a C4 65 in for obviously price. Would i be better off with a tcl and saving some money ir maybe get my first intro oled (not qd but still better than led)?

I am not biggest fan but you give honest reviews and you prop up Sony for whatever reason everyone else does. Much appreciated bro.

When are you going to drop the picture setting for the Bravia 9? I paid for a membership to get setting for the A95l, which I already completed. I just have to do it on the B9. Thanks man!

I just had the same convo with a friend about my experience working in a big box BBY 25+ years ago….Samsung tube TVs were new on the scene. But it was packed with features and killing the game at the time. YET, no matter who I recommended it to said…”who and what is a Samsung? Give me the RCA or a Sony”. I literally just shook my head and gave them the NAMEBRAND they wanted. Anyhow, that’s a perfect example to validate what you said. People buy a name brand instead of looking deeper into the offering. LG, Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Toyota, went through those growing pains, but like TCL is proving they can provide the same if not more than the household names. But as time passes, the ambiguous brands end up becoming household names. TCL….if they continue on their current path will end up becoming a household name for the quality & price value proposition (I hope they don’t raise their prices over time). Sorry, a bit of a rant…but dollar for dollar, spec for spec, performance & quality TCL has jumped in the ring and BEAT the Sony giant! I’ve been in this game for a while 😉. Another great review @Quantum_TV

Although not a Bravia 9, I do have a Sony LED. I notice the Live Color feature works best for me on Medium for SDR/SRGB/Rec.709 content, and Off for HDR10 and Dolby Vision / BT.2020 content. Setting it to Low isn't enough, and setting it to High makes blues look purple, and for some strange reason, now get this, possibly UNDERsaturates reds.

Fomo had a calibrated b9 and qm8 and qm7 out of the box settings and he thought the qm8 was really close to the b9 which is quite the admission for him.

Hi Q, I have ordered the TCL and would join ur channel to get the settings when the tv arrives. But realise in this video u said u have spent more time on the tcl and has improved the settings. So could u upload the new improved settings or I can only get the older last week version? Thanks

Bahaha🎉 I actually saw that comment!!! After winning the “king of tv” contest, they hard leaned into that! I was soo hard pressed that I wanted a Bravia 9, but after being “enlightened”, I just can’t justify the price difference! 🎉 in fact, I realized that I need to go OLED to get what I want out of my main tv. However, I’m still going extra large for the HT tv, 85-98” QM8! 🎉

Thanks for going over, once again, and showing the settings reset, and settings adjustments to show you are NOT purposefully making the Sony look bad! 🎉 I seriously don’t know why people comment on other reviews that you do! 🎉

@Quantum_TV 32:49 earlier in the video I was thinking exaaactly what you just did. “I wonder what they look like default vs default”. Thanks for doing that. It further validates every point you’ve made that the TCL QM8 beats the Sony Bravia 9.

Good video. I respect your opinion. TCL has won the mini led competition. I hope one day they can make their own qdoled sets.

What about the image quality on movies, 4k, bluray and DVD?
How does TCL look vs Sony

Which one would you say has the best picture between the 77” LG G4 ($3, 000), 77” Samsung S90D ($2, 600), or the 85” TCL QM851G ($2, 500)?

I don't know if you can. Is it possible to get the hisense u8n (2024), either the 65 or 75 inch, because of the dimming zones, and review it on the channel, if possible even compare it to the bravia 9 and the TCL qm8.
Thank you for the honesty in your videos
