Thank you. Very helpful. Maybe on future 98 inch comparisons you can spend 30 seconds showing the cable management of the TVs and how the TVs show on the wall when viewing the mounted TV from the side?

TCL is 90% of features for half the price

Would love to see a 98inch shootout. Q80c, this Sony, qm8 and Hisense 98inch for 2023. I have a c2 83 inch, my next tv will 100% be a 98 inch qled. Although I’m hesitant and have reservations to go from OLED to a qled

The difference in the scenes with avatar and the contrast and tone mapping is crazy. The Sony has a much better image just from those movie scenes alone.

One thing you failed to mention is how long each TV will last before any processing failures. My experience has been that Sony TVs and DVD players last MUCH longer than many other brands. I bought a Hisense TV not long ago and it only lasted 2 years. My current Sony is going on 3 years and has had zero problems. Something to think about in addition to price points.

I appreciate all the work and effort the both of you put into creating content for the channel. An obvious hobby that many of us share, but you all take to a higher level. I pulled the trigger on the 98-inch TCL. Now an even better price point at 4K at Amazon and BB made it too easy. I also purchased the HumanCentric Full Motion Articulating mount. The mount is up, just waiting for the television stork to drop off the TV today! I hope it includes install! lol

Great review! Thank you for your commitment to reviewing the biggest TVs out there, we all know that it is much more difficult.

Informative review especially the mount suggestions as I plan for a giant upgrade. My takeaway is still wait for future minileds and honestly I want that 100” number

Would be great if you could compare this 98" Sony X90L to the Samsung 98" QN90A and Q80C

Hey B, we have a new player in town: Hisense 100” U8K. Can we get showdown between the 3?

Thanks for this detailed comparison, B. I cannot see having a 98" TV, given my set-up, but I appreciate your thoughts. For all that money, I would go 77" LG G3.

Does the TCL look kinda hazy looking to anyone else or is it just me. That Sony looks so clear and detailed.

I agree. I just bought a 75 inch Sony X80L after 13 years of owning my previous Sony KDL model 60 inch. Sony rules the roost in the world of tvs. You'll obviously pay more but that's for a good reason.

Nice video keep up the good work B the installer

The 83" to 85" TV is still the most cost effective size for a big screen. And there are Basic sets to fit the lowest Budgets ($850 Hisense), and Baller sets to break the bank (LG G3 OLED.)

Energie must be dirt cheap in the US, how much power does those tv's consume?
