This is literally just Bill Burr in Star Wars

Man Billy really killed it this episode

The writers were like "what would Bill Burr say if he was in the Star Wars universe?"
Either that, or they just put him in the car and let the cameras roll.

Everything Burr said in this sequence was correct. Made Mando think for awhile and although he would probably not admit it he knows he has a point. I think it was a great dialogue scene.

Honestly, getting one of Star Wars' biggest critics to play a jaded, cynical soldier who believes all the in-universe factions are either dumb or hypocritical was lowkey brilliant.

Damn, this guy had more character development than rey.

I also like the line after that where he said "As far as I'm concerned, if you can make it through the day and still sleep at night, your doin' better than most". I felt like that wasn't even Mayfield talking, that was literally just Bill Burr

This is what motivated Mando to take off his helmet to see Grogu in the finale <3

This episode had the best writing, by far. It's not about never breaking your code or abandoning it altoghether, it's about knowing when to make your beliefs aside or when to uphold them in order to do the right thing. This aplies to Din and his way as much as it aplies to Mayfeld and his basic principles.

Their morals, their code; it's a bad joke; dropped at the first sign of trouble. There only as good as the world allows them to be

He's not just a comedian, he's a social commentator.

Although Mayfield has a point, I gotta say that there is some practicality in not taking off the helmet. If you never show your face, nobody ever knows what you look like underneath. So worst case scenario, if you're being hunted you can ditch the armor and hide in plain sight. I'm just saying.

Best episode of the season. More of Bill Burr's character please! The show desperately needs a voice of reason to make sense of all the madness! LMAO

Billy red nuts character development is what Finn’s character coulda had. It’s what happens when you have too many cooks in the kitchen. Still thank the force for Jonny Fav 🤘🏾

I agree. Civility only exists when you have Abundance. When you have no food, you will start throwing Punches.

I keep rewatching this episode out of all of them. This really is Mayfelds redemption arc. I hope we get to see more of him in the future

“You and I are nothing alike”

Jesus movies and tv shows love using that line

Bill Burr’s one of my favorite comedians because of Mayfeld and his character in Breaking Bad. Here, he’s giving us the message that people believe in one thing or the other and we have to live with that. This could do more good than harm in the real world, where now more than ever, we are divided and we need to look at the other side to leave them well enough alone and come to an understanding. My solution, don’t talk politics with the other side because that falls into the realm of doing more harm than good. Also, if I were the coach or head of a club, I’d pull a Herman Boone and have those with differing beliefs sit with each other. Political, religion, cultural, or sports preferences shouldn’t dictate us as a society. Sorry, didn’t mean to preach, but I agree with Mayfeld 100%

Bill Burr and I went to Emerson College at the same time, and we did not talk or hang out, but I know what it's like to be in that college, with dramatic arts next to radio, telvision, writing, and disciplines in mass communications, and Billy was a radio guy, who clearly wanted to do performing, and this performance in this episode shows he really, really nailed it.
