All artists at some point in time will suffer from procrastination, unrealistic expectations of themselves and art block. Claudia tackles this and provides ways to help you get creative, giving you an active approach to inspiration, outlining 3 exercises to get you out of your own way:

1. The blob game - silly drawings, no need to worry about how they look. It’s a trick to get you started and lets you have fun and be creative. It’s a version of finding shapes in the clouds. This exercise allows you to find the fun in drawing.

2. One line drawing - allows you to move away from the details and lets you put that first line in. You simply pick an object and without moving your pencil from the paper (or screen) draw it! This helps you get creative when you’re in a rut.

3. Blind contour drawing - it’s similar to one line drawing, but on x-games mode - you draw without looking at your screen/paper. You then focus on something and draw the contours you see and try not to peek!

Get those creative juices going and have some fun with your art.
