I have a b450 Msi tomahawk max motherboard so I upgraded a 3600 to the 5700x3d. My ram from 16gb 3000 to 32gb 3600. My 5700xt to a 7900xt. Total cost for my upgrades was $790 because I got some sweet deals.

I have a similar motherboard, the ryzen 7 5800x3d, and an 3080 12gb and I run a dual 1440p monitor ultrawide and a 1080p 240hz monitor to boot, all at varied high frame rates. Am4 is a great platform.
