One day I thanked a Vietnam veteran and he started to get choked up and told me I was the first person to ever thank him for his service in Vietnam it made me want to cry

My Vietnam vet neighbor used to come hangout w/ me while doing stuff in my yard or garage. He would tell me similar stories as well has the horrible conditions they dealt with. When he passed away, I learned he had told no one else. I was so honored.

My uncle was KIA in an ambush in vietnam on November 25, 1968. I was in the first grade. Bless all who have served, combat or peacetime, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I love Gary Sinise. I worked with Veterans at the fall of Saigon, and I’ve never seen such trauma. After all these years, I’m 67, I’ve started having PTSD symptoms and nightmares about my returning vets I counseled. It never leaves.

I’ve heard a lot of war stories from loved ones who have served in Vietnam. My mom had shared a few different stories about how the veterans were treated when they came home from the war. It was so heartbreaking.

My first plane flight was going from Indiana to California....in 1970 ...on the plane coming home sat between a service man coming home from Vietnam and a service man going home on leave before going to Vietnam...I was 18 now 71 thanked them both for their service and prayed for their safety for many years
