One of the most noticeable continuity errors occurs during the New Year's Eve sequence, where Dick Clark is seen wearing a brown jacket on the TV in the bar, but a blue jacket on Jenny's TV. Another error is when the ramp outside the stage door at The Dick Cavett Show is clear of snow one moment, yet covered in snow moments later when Lt. Dan slides down it.

Anachronisms, or things that are out of place in the film's timeline, can also be found in Forrest Gump. For example, during the scene where Forrest and Jenny visit her old house back in Greenbow, Alabama, she breaks one of the house's windows with a rock, but in the very next scene when Forrest is seen comforting her, the window is no longer broken.

Aside from continuity errors and anachronisms, this video also explores some of the funny and interesting bloopers that occurred during the filming of Forrest Gump. For instance, during the scene where Forrest is talking to Lt. Dan after leaping off his boat, some camera angles show Forrest to be conspicuously dry when he was just swimming in the water moments prior.

Overall, this video provides a fascinating and entertaining look at the various mistakes, bloopers, continuity errors, and anachronisms featured in the beloved film Forrest Gump. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a newcomer to the film, you're sure to enjoy this behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the iconic movie.

The movie was such a classic great, it just doesn't matter how many 'miss dates' & mistakes have been discovered.

It’s a movie not a historical documentary, it’s entertainment and a great movie

This movie was about a transformative time in history and our young lives for us who lived it. I didn’t watch the movie to pick it apart. I saw it when it first came out it brought back memories from a not to distant past some good some bad even though it was just a movie.

The smiley face was designed by Worcester Massachusetts graphic design artist, Harvey Ball in the 1970's, for an insurance company. He only made couple hundred dollars and never had the the image copyrighted, losing millions upon millions of dollars. He was never bitter, saying the smiley face brought people joy.

This is one of the truly great films. Each time I watch it I find something new.

Never noticed any of this and still don’t care. These points you make are great for those of us who like to watch trivial stuff. In fact, all of these inconsistencies are irrelevant but so much fun to watch. So, all that to say THANK YOU!

I still think they did a phenomenal job. All of the errors and bloopers are hard to tell.

Yes, I caught a lot of those inconsistencies in the movie but I'd like to point out that most of the inconsistencies are from what Forrest recollects from his memories of those times and very few people can remember every detail of their life.

This really shows how we miss the little details because we are focusing on other things. I'm sure there are many movies like this with lots of mistakes and bloopers and we never notice.

I was nine years old when this came out so clearly I didn't notice any factual errors. I can still remember watching those leg braces falling off and Forest taking off like a lightning bolt. I couldn't help but smile ear to ear.

I think this was a great movie despite these inconsistencies. It made me laugh, cry and got me interested in history too!

I love this movie ... and let me say this .... I've notice a lot of people no matter what their color of their skin or their ethnic background like or love this movie. Movie shows a good person, Gump who becomes friends with Bubba, another good person become - best friends for life. They didn't look at the color of their friend's skin but at each other's character ... the bloopers but all in all it brought back memories for me when I grew up during the 60's .. 70's....still a great movie!! Classic!!!

If you’ve ever wondered what the job of Continuity is, this is it. The video adequately portrays its value to a filmmaker too.

One of my most favorite movies....Never noticed any of the inconsistencies, and to be honest, it doesn't change my feelings a bit.

The “Love’s” in the background was in fact NOT a truck stop. It was, and still is, a seafood restaurant that the production “transformed” into a strip club. After the filming the restaurant actually kept the “Love’s” name and is located on US 17 in Richmond Hill Georgia along the Ogeechee River.

I forget what movie we had gone to see, but one of the previews shown was "Forest Gump".
I knew from the preview that it was going to be a fantastic movie.
