My 2014 Sentra is about to hit 90k, it’s been a really good car. Drive sensibly and keep the RPM below 4K, they hold up pretty well. I change the cvt fluid every 60k and use sport mode on hills.

I’ve had everything in this video and more repaired/replaced in my 2016 Nissan Sentra S. Thankfully all was covered under the manufactures warranty, extended warranty, and power terrain warranty. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ve been a loyal customer of the Nissan Sentra brand since their 1996 model. Gone are the days of Nissan being considered a reliable brand. I finally learned my lesson. I will buy Nissan no more.

2019 since 10/16/20 replaced MAF… need rear struts/shocks $385.28-Alignment notice wear of front tires $129.95- i’m at 104, 029 Fuel GDI -$139.95 and Tune Up -$321.80 and couple of new front tires ..🤔… wishing i had the strength in my hands to replace coils and spark plugs seem pretty easy to do . I once replaced a window motor in a Dodge Durango and replace the headlights … these videos makes life easier affordable and give you info you need when these shops try and tell you how much work they put in for some of these services

My 2017 sentra has 159, 000 miles, bought it new, and I've only replaced the fuel pump at 159, 000 miles. I think the suspension is very noisy even since new and it has some electrical issues. But it runs smoothly and no CVT issues so far.

I have a 2013 Sentra SV with 175, 000 miles and I've had most of those problems. Last year I replaced the front shocks and the new ones bang when I accelerate and hit 20 mph. This year around March I had to replace the coils and SPs, then on June I had to replace the starter, then on October I had to replace and reprogram the MAF sensor. But over all it's a good car.

I've made a lot of bad decisions in my 37 years on this planet, but I would have to say that buying my 2014 Nissan Sentra would have to be the worst one of all.

I got a 2013 Sentra used back in 2017. The CVT transmission failed at nearly 40K miles. Thankfully the car was under warranty. I do regular maintenance on it all the time. I take really good care of it as well--never did any rigorous or stupid driving behavior in it.

Another issue with this Sentra would be the wheel bearings would come loose. That happened to me as well, but thankfully it was under warranty.

Catalytic Converter!
My Nissan Sentra 2015 100k miles was always slow to accelerate, but during a trip in the hills of Pennsylvania it broke. It wouldn't go past 60 MPH. I think it was sold to me with a bad catalytic converter. Here is my story:

I had the MAF sensor P0101, changed the sensor. Nothing.
Took it to the Nissan dealership, and they wanted to change the Throttle Body Control. I changed it myself. Nothing.
I changed the PVC valve even though it was working properly. Nothing.
I changed the filter. Nothing.
I took it back to the Nissan Dealership and they said "Brake booster." I agreed to pay the $1600 even though I knew damn well it wasn't the brake booster.
Then they come back with, "It wasn't the brake booster. But we found out it was the catalytic converter. We took the catalytic converter off, drove around with it, and it works fine. Your catalytic converter melted inside and is restricting the flow of exhaust. So we'll only charge you $2000 for both the brake booster and the catalytic converter."

My Nissan Sentra 2014 has 85, 000 miles. Currently dealing with MAF sensor issues which I think I got it fixed, around 45-50k miles the AC failed, luckily I still had warranty and saved over $3000 in repairs! Those were the only major issues I have had and hope to not get any more.
