Показать описание
For all Manual Muscle testing the following grading scale will be used: 5/5 the patient can hold against full resistance, 4/5 the patient can hold against moderate resistance, 3/5 the patient cannot hold against any resistance but can complete the motion against gravity. There will be no grading’s below a 3/5 for this population. Position the patient in a prone position on the table, with their legs in full extension. Instruct the patient to place their hands behind their head, to ensure they are not used. Stabilize the lower body by lying over the patient’s legs. While remaining in that position, instruct the patient to actively lift their body straight up, bringing their shoulders and towards the ceiling. Grading is determined by how far the patient can get up off the table. Note the grading of strength and any presence of pain with the motion.
