BEST WAY to SEE Punches Coming

How can you see punches coming in a fight? Here is the best way to train to see punches without flinching. This tip will help you instantly read a punch for self defence.

The fear of taking a punch cripples even the best of us. It’s ESPECIALLY a common problem among beginners learning how to fight and defend themselves. I mean… how do you expect someone to fight well if he’s afraid of getting punched? It’s near impossible right? Fortunately, there IS a solution and ANYBODY can overcome this fear….

Before we start you have to understand the possible causes of the fear of taking a punch in a fight.

There are 3 simple factors. The first is being hit actually hurts (it’s a pain response), the second is you can’t see the punches (it’s the fear of the unknown), third, you’re not mental prepared for being punched (this is the emotional response).

In short, the expectation of pain combined with the fear of the unknown and lack of will lead to an increased fear of getting punched in a fight.

The eyes maybe the windows to the soul but the hands are the windows of the intent!

33 years wing chun / street fighting and this is the only guy that i would walk away from if he wanted to 'dance.' Street simple. No mercy. Keep up the great work in schooling people in the art of self defense.

Kissing on the mouth most often makes them back up a little, but be aware they'll be longing for a rapid reunion

"Who spins to kick in a street fight?" - I know a guy who actually got off. Bullies were I don't know, first grade of high school and he was about 2 years younger. In act of desperation, almost cornered, he spin kicked the leader, knocking him down. Rest off the guys TOOK notice. Rare, but still happens. If you look closely, most of typical bullies, not gangsters, have very similar group composition. There's withdrawn, cold an strong one, there's a 'nice' guy, there's small, unimposing loudmouth, there's a leader and possibly one other. Knock down either leader or 'muscle' and group usually switches to peace mode.

I agree with your eye contact from a defensive standpoint, although I have fought many that telegraph with eyes, but have found it effective from an offensive standpoint. Then again this is from the standpoint of tournament fighting. I have been lucky enough to de escalate from street fights for the last 30 years or so. Appreciate your channel, big fan

Shifting weight onto a particular leg is one of the biggest indicators, particularly when someone is going to kick.
A trained boxer may be very hard to read, particularly if they have street experience also...( They will have the shot already loaded, in their initial stance....)
But most lads will give it away with the shoulders...

Thank you so much for this and all your videos! As a martial arts practitioner, along with our forms, conditioning, training etc... it is so important to know when to utilise all of it. We cannot use a block if we dont read a strike coming. Absolutley brilliant videos. Once again... thank you 🙏

Never start or instigate a fight but if you are forced too go for the kill. Have no mercy; your life literally depends on it.

These are short, concise and to the point and most importantly practical. I also like the lack of macho in tone.
Keep 'em coming!
