Best Hill recovery technique - Offroad training

Today I share a technique that I've been using for years and has certainly saved me quite a lot of stress and money: How to recover a heavy motorcycle stuck on a hill.

I actually learned this maneuver many years ago from a video somewhere here on Youtube, and since then I've seen it being taught in schools and workshops, yet, a lot of people still don't know about it... so I decided to give it a go.

A hope you enjoy and learn sometyhing from me today ^^

Thanks for the laughs and many many thanks for reminding to an old guy the fundamentals of off road and learning to the beginners how to save the precious bike and break something. That was nicely and clearly explained.

Dammit. Watched this after dropping my 701 too many times on a wet Welsh TETTY. When you break it down, it is obvious and simple physics. But I didn't. But you did. I'm going to commit that technique to memory. Thanks. And like a lot of others, I'll say your enthusiasm, humour and knowledge is really impressive and doubly so in what is a foreign language to you. Obrigado and anyone, do the Portuguese ACT and TET. Portugal is a beautiful country, dirt bike friendly and excellent value with plenty of accommodation so don't bother camping.

I knew this technique since long ago and used plenty of times. It is epic indeed as make very easy to get out of very complicated situations. I watched all the video thought and picked few hints in how to make it even better for myself. You have certainly helped a lot of people with this 🙂👍🏻

I always enjoy your videos. You have a great sense of humor. Today you did a great job at explaining this process slowly enough and clearly enough that I think even I might be able to do it. Keep the videos coming.

If it´s muddy, that´s when starts to get really interesting, to say the least, however good hint here that´s for sure.
Keep going man, well done.

Planning to buy an XT as my 1st bike ever next year after I get a licence. That brought me to your channel. I like your videos and sense of humour 👍 You are as educational as FortNine channel but way more funny 🙂 Definitely deserve more subs.

Very cool tips man. Nice and simply explained. Just back from an epic trip here in S Africa and a mate of mine could have done with this info on a few occasions! LOL

I enjoyed and learned something from you today. Haven't yet seen the respected Bret Tkacs teaching this technique, you beat him to it and did a great job of it. 2:50 safardana, long time no see! Cheers, man

Some great information! What's your advice if you're in the same situation on single track? I tend to do the same process with the bike on its side and swear about my life choices and why I'm riding an adv bike.
