I was hoping you would talk about the certainty/uncertainty principle when the words "I am lying" is stated. Those words are empty shells without some context to apply them. Solely just saying the phrase disconnected from any instance of where a truth or a lie could be possible, renders the phrase useless to a meaningful application. I would like to add to the analogy you used where the student answered "2" for X, while the real answer was actually 3. What if, we reversed this example? For instance: The teacher asks "What is the answer to X?" The rebellious student, attempting to be facetious, purposely answers the question with what he truly believes is the FALSE answer by saying "3". He is surprised when the teacher responds "CORRECT!". He intentionally wanted and felt that he was indeed lying, but was actually telling the truth by mistake. So, my question: Does this make him a liar or a truthteller? Or is it both, or neither?
