This is exactly what I use as a technique to create a confusion regarding my truthfulness whether a person believes me or not, and usually culminates with, it makes no difference that you should or should not believe me, it is of no consequence either way, and the result will remain the same. Do you believe me?

This is like the moral version of the grandfather paradox. I guess the only way it could be resolved is by looking at the context of the situation in which its used. But, but itself, with no context, there's no resolution.
