Jace actually proves true kingship. Out of everyone, he has been the most successful at actually gaining alliances through diplomacy. He got the greybeards from Cregan Stark in the North, he got safety and support from Jeyne Arryn in the Vale, and now
he's secured the crossing at the Twins from the Freys. He might be young and wants to fight, but he is also not so rash as to not understand the importance of diplomacy that even many adults do not seem to grasp. He would actually one day make a great king

Jace is by far the most reasonable character this season. Not only does he help his Mothers cause a lot (which is overlooked massively from everyone imo) but he is so rational and smart for his age . He knows he is a bastard, which must have been a tough pill to swallow, and he is spot on on the last episode with his points (nearly identical thing minus the dragons happened in the blackfyre rebellion)

this scene made no sense to me allowing an army to cross would be seen as them declaring for Rhaenyra he should've asked them to gather their levies to join with the northern host
