I love that Jacaerys recognised how Helaena was neglected by Aegon and took the opportunity to show her kindness when she probably had such little joy in her life

She’s so cute. Daemon laughs at her joke and she smiles and swings her arms like she did good. Even Otto is smiling at her and saying “good”. She gathered the courage to toast her cousins and was so proud ❤

If there's one little part of House of the Dragon I absolutely unequivocally adore, it is the fact that the only two audible laughs after Helaena's awkward little speech are none other than archenemies Otto Hightower and Daemon.

Absolutely fantastic piece of character direction, and easily missed.

That was probably one of the few times that Helaena actually had fun and smiled, especially after she had been neglected for so long. A handsome prince showing her kindness made her day.

The fact Halaena does not like to be touched and she allowed Jace to touch her. The look of disbelief on Aegon and Aemond is so funny.

A small significance in this scene is that while Jace takes Helaena, Aegon looks on in shame while Baela doesn't pay any attention to them at all and talks to Luke. For some reason, it showed me how Aegon was ashamed and Baela was secure with her own self.

I didn’t really pay much attention to Helena before this scene. She’s just so honest and pure hearted you can’t help but like her. She even makes Aemond laugh

I like how Baela smiled when she understood what Jace was doing like she had that proud look on her face ''yep that's my man right there'' lol ugh I think they would've been a good match too, such a shame that he died as well - he would've also made a amazing king!

The dinner scene is a masterclass of building trepidation through melancholy. Viserys watching the kids in a last dance before the Dance. Fleeting moments of bliss before they are all swept away by the flood/deluge. Everyone hoping for the best, expecting the worst. For something so uneventfully peaceful, the passing was one of the most foreboding, emotive and viscerally filmed deaths I've seen. Book Viserys also doses off to the great beyond in his bed, after telling stories to grandkids. The king who was most unlike Aegon the Conqueror in life ends up being most like the Conqueror in death.
